AutomatedByFriday exists for one reason: most small business owners know AI could save them time, but nobody shows them exactly how, for their job, in the UK.
What do we do?
We publish step-by-step guides that automate one boring task for one kind of business: estate and letting agents, consultants and solo founders, accountants and sole traders getting ready for Making Tax Digital, and tradespeople. Each guide gives you the time it takes, what it costs each month, a prompt to copy, and an outline you can rebuild in Make, Zapier or n8n.
Why UK-first?
Most AI automation content is written for the US. It ignores material information rules for property listings, Making Tax Digital, UK GDPR, consumer cancellation rights and the UK’s fake-review rules. Those details decide whether an automation is safe to use here, so we build them in and link to the official source.
How do we write and check guides?
- We check each tool’s current pricing and key details against the vendor’s own pages (or reputable trackers where vendors hide prices) before publishing, and show the date we did it.
- We cite sources for every fact, rule and figure. If we can’t source it, we don’t say it.
- We say what can go wrong. Every guide has a pitfalls section.
- We re-check guides regularly and update the date when we do. If you spot something out of date, tell us.
We use AI tools to help research and draft, the same tools we write about, and we check the result against primary sources before it goes live.
How do we make money?
Some links to tools are affiliate links: if you sign up for a paid plan, the tool may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. What’s with the name?
The promise is simple: pick one guide on Monday, and that task is automated by Friday. The newsletter lands on Friday mornings with the next one.
